Aberdare Athletic FC
Aberdare Athletic FC was a Welsh football team founded in 1892 and based in Aberdare, an industrial town in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Aberdare were runners-up in the Welsh Cup twice in succession (1904 and 1905). They joined the Football League in 1921 but struggled to attract support. In 1927 they finished bottom and were voted out of the League to be replaced by Torquay United.
