Dagenham and Redbridge FC

Dagenham and Redbridge, is an English football club based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, formed in 1992 by the merging of Dagenham and Redbridge Forest.  The club can trace its origins back to four amateur clubs: Ilford (formed in 1881), Leytonstone (1886), Walthamstow Avenue (1900) and Dagenham (1949). Dagenham & Redbridge spent several seasons in the Football Conference but were  relegated to the Isthmian League Premier Division in 1996. The club remained in the division until winning promotion in 1999–2000 going on to establish itself as one of the strongest clubs in the Conference. Dagenham and Redbridge finally gained entry to the Football League at the end of the 2006-07 season as Conference Champions. The 2009–10 season saw Dagenham and Redbridge promoted for the first time in their history from League Two to League One. The next season ended in disappointment when they finished 21st and were relegated back to League Two. Dagenham were relegated back into non-League football in 2016.
